Overview
Translate Pro is a Workspace Add-on developed by Archeos that allows users to translate content inside Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms directly within their documents.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the application accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Translate Pro is designed with a minimal-data approach and does not collect or store personal user data beyond what is required for the app to function.
Information the App Accesses
When a user activates Translate Pro, the application may access the following information within the Workspace file being used:
- •text content within Docs
- •text content within Slides
- •text content within Sheets
- •text content within Forms
This access is required in order to translate the selected content. The application only accesses the document currently opened by the user.
How Information Is Used
The text content accessed by the application is used solely for the purpose of translating the document into a selected language.
Translate Pro processes this information in the following ways:
- •Text is temporarily read from the document.
- •The content is sent to a translation service.
- •The translated text is returned to the document.
- •The application may temporarily store document text in Apps Script PropertiesService for features such as reverting translations.
- •This temporary data is automatically removed when no longer needed.
Data Storage
Translate Pro does not maintain permanent user databases.
The application may temporarily store limited information within the Apps Script environment in order to support application features such as translation rollback.
This information:
- •remains within the user's document context
- •is not accessible outside the user's account
- •is automatically cleared after use
Translate Pro does not store user documents on external servers.
Data Sharing
- •Translate Pro does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
- •Text may be processed by a translation service in order to generate translations.
- •No additional third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking systems are used.
Security
- •Translate Pro operates entirely within a secure cloud infrastructure using Apps Script and Workspace APIs.
- •All data processing occurs within the cloud environment.
- •The developer does not directly access or store user documents.
User Control
- •Users can stop using the application at any time.
- •Users may also remove the add-on through their Workspace add-on management settings.
- •Once the add-on is removed, the application no longer has access to documents.
Children's Privacy
- •Translate Pro is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
- •The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically.
Updates will be reflected by the revised "Last updated" date above.
